Pongal Celebration – January
On the 13th and 14th of January, we came together to celebrate Bhogi and Pongal with our beloved ARAM special children and members of the community. The festivities culminated with an early morning pooja and various friendly competitions involving the children and community members.
Republic Day – January
On January 26th, we commemorated Republic Day with our ARAM children and community members. Our Chief Guest for the day was Mrs. Tamil Selvi, the Chairperson of the Chennai Child Welfare Committee.
Founder’s Day Celebration – February
February 10th marked Founder’s Day! Our children had a blast with a fun-filled outing to Anna Nagar Tower Park and Marina Beach. The joy and excitement on their faces are our greatest reward, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this memorable day possible.
Women’s Day Celebration – March
On March 8th, we celebrated Women’s Day.
Tamil New Year – April
On the 14th of April, we joyfully marked the Tamil New Year with the children at ARAM Special.
Nila Soru Meal – April
The 16th of April was filled with excitement as our ARAM Special Children had a delightful Nilla Sooru meal.
Movie Day – May
May 3rd brought the children’s happiness to new heights as they watched the BEAST Movie at AGS theatre in Villivakkam.
Mother’s Day – May
On May 8th, we celebrated Mother’s Day with our ARAM Special Children.
First Dose Vaccination – June
On June 12th, our children received their first vaccine doses, with the invaluable support of the Primary Health Center staff.
World Yoga Day – June
June 21st was dedicated to celebrating World Yoga Day.
Independence Day – August
August 15th marked the 76th Independence Day celebration at ARAM, with Mr. Sandeep, the Chief Guest (Proprietor of Ashok Cars and Finance). Our staff presented a spectacular dance performance, engaging the community.
Krishna Jayanthi – August
On August 19th, we celebrated Krishna Jayanthi.
Sports Day – December
August 29th was a day of pride as our ARAM girls participated in various sporting events, including the 100 meters and 200 meters races, securing 2 Gold, 3 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals. They had a fantastic time, and we express our gratitude to the special children’s sports program.
Vinayagar Chathurthi – August

Teacher’s Day – September
On September 5th, we celebrated Teacher’s Day.
Navarathri Golu – October
October 6th marked the beginning of the Navarathiri Golu and daily pooja, continuing until Vijayadhasami.
Diwali Celebrations – October
October 24th was a time for Diwali celebrations.
Karthigai Deepam Celebrations – December
On December 6th, we celebrated Karthigai Deepam.
Christmas Celebration – December
Christmas Day, December 25th, was celebrated at ARAM with Santa Claus distributing gifts and sweets to all our children.
