Distribution of Essential Family Kits – April
On April 29, 2021, ARAM Special Children’s Home, in collaboration with the implementing partner SARTHAK and with the generous support of ALTRAN, organized a vital family kit distribution program benefiting 200 families in the Kathirvedu vicinity. The event was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs. Sarala MA, Med, and Mrs. Kavitha MSc MPhil.

Independence Day – August
Marked the 75th Independence Day at ARAM on August 15, 2021, with Dr. Saranya Jayakumar, a Member of the State Child Rights Commission, serving as the esteemed Chief Guest, and Dr. Mythili, a Senior Psychiatrist at KMC Hospital, as our distinguished Guest of Honour. Our special children delivered a captivating dance performance, and the event fostered engagement with the local community.

Children’s Day festivities, which occurred on November 14, 2021, included a variety of exciting activities to celebrate our young ones.
World Disablity Day – December
On December 3, 2021, we observed World Disability Day in a meaningful way alongside our ARAM Special Children and the local community. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Francis, a distinguished member of the Child Welfare Committee in Chennai Central. The day featured various activities and discussions aimed at raising awareness and promoting inclusion for individuals with disabilities
MSW Students Visit – December
On December 5, 2021, we welcomed first-year MSW students for their observational visit to ARAM Home. This visit provided them with valuable insights into our projects, activities, and the inner workings of an NGO. The students displayed great enthusiasm and a keen interest in learning about our children and the home, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by NGOs in their endeavors.
Christmas Celebration – December
On December 25, 2021, we had a delightful Christmas celebration at ARAM, complete with Santa Claus distributing gifts and sweets to all our children. The day was filled with joy, as our children reveled in the festivities with music, dance, and a lot of fun, creating cherished memories.
