Introduction of ARAM

The main root cause for the formation of ARAM Charitable Trust is for the “GIRL CHILD” that too girl child with Mentally retardation with physical disability who are abandoned and orphan from our society.

“Righteousness “means to be right especially in a moral way and to earn happiness by serving the society with the “Power of Righteousness”. In today’s fast moving world all of us are busy with our own work and more than that we expect others to do some obligation for us. But I want to look at this in a different perspective. I have to do something to our and my society. Based on this I completed my Masters Degree in Social Work and that taking child welfare and their rights with family counseling as the [main subjects] division. After my education I worked for 2 years in the field related to child welfare and their rights.

After serving in that field my thirst could not be quenched. So I deeply thought that Girl child in our society needs more protection. That too if a child is mentally retard with physical disability then care needed is still more. So I decided to work for them and that was how “ARAM” emerged.

We have selected Kathirvedu in Tiruvallur District as it is greener and it’s a small village. Kids can be kept happy under such environment. Their heart and mind would be calm and happy.

Apart from all of the above, we have also planned to setup free physiotherapy for special and physically disabled children, who are below the poverty line.

This charitable trust is formed fully for the girl child to give them their basic needs such as

Participation and

Development

Counselling

A part of all the above 4 basic objectives we also look into the adolescent stage where we will make the body and mind of the child to co ordinate in a more controlled and organized manner through counselling sessions.

Supplementary Education Centre

We have also planned to conduct supplementary education centre during the evening hours to help government school going children to support their education along with snacks for their nutrition.
